We’re going to get our first look at the OnePlus 2 today, and its Chinese maker is getting everything ready behind the scenes: you can now download the launch event app and sign up for an invitation Or at least try to.
The OnePlus 2 invite page has now gone live, but when we checked it there was only an option to reserve a spot in the invitation to get an invitation list. Your luck may vary.

“You can get an invite from friends who have purchased a OnePlus 2 already, or by participating in our contests and promotions,” says OnePlus. “For notifications about our contests and invites, subscribe to our newsletter, join our community on the forums, or follow us on social media.”
OnePlus confirmed that it will be increasing the launch inventory up to 50 times more than the last year, to fulfil the mounting demand for its upcoming flagship. While this will make it easier to dispatch even more invites, OnePlus also introduced an all-new Reservation List, which will give an opportunity to those who are not active on social media and OnePlus forums to bag an early invite.
Interested buyers can simply put down their email address on the reservation list and the company will send out invites on a first-come first-serve basis. OnePlus also revealed that it will send out as many invites as possible after evaluating the production and inventory situation. Once you sign up for an invite, OnePlus guarantees that it will fulfil all request eventually. At the time of writing, OnePlus had already received over 180,000 invitation requests.

OnePlus is showing extra love to all the early adopters and “fervent supporters” by prioritising their invitation requests.
“To those of you who have helped us spread the word and grow OnePlus from an unknown company to where we are today. Specifically, I’m talking about phone smashers; early forum members, early purchasers and the most active OnePlus One invite evangelists. We want to show you our gratitude by offering you some of the first invites to purchase the OnePlus 2,” OnePlus said in a post on the company’s forum.
